The Global Campaign for Education, founded in 1999, brings together Civil Society organizations, NGOs, teacher unions and child rights activists. Application to GCE's membership is open to civil society organizations and networks that subscribe to the GCE's principles and demands and agree to uphold our constitution. (Read the constitution in French, Spanish or English). International, regional organisations and national coalitions may join GCE in their own right. Individuals and national organisations are encouraged to be part of GCE via their national coalitions. There are four different types of membership:
