Global Action Week kicked off to a famous start with a successful press conference organised by SINPROF (Angolan teachers union). Parallel to the press conference, a massive human chain was created in Bie province to also mark the start of Global Action Week. At the press conference, the press and other invited guests were informed about the major events which were taking place during the Global Action Week place in the capital Luanda as well as in the other provinces of Angola.
On the 26th of April, by SINPROF and its partners organised a public debate under the theme: “Education a human right”. This debate was replicated in Sumbe province on the same day. The Angolan campaign mobilized leaders to go back to school to raise awareness about the global campaign.
