In Ethiopia, a display of photographs depicting the status of education in Ethiopia, the situation of children and adults that are looking for education. was launched at the well known Meskel Square in the centre of the Capital City on 27 April. This was aimed at advocating for "Education as a Right" and to initiate all stakeholders to work hard for the fulfillment of the Education for All goals. A spectacular Sonic Screen which was open for every body to view had images on the right to education and Joining Up. It was be inaugurated by Ato Fuad Ibrahim, the State Minister for General Education. There were other activities, like a children's rally to the parliament, media advocacy and a panel discussion on selected and relevant themes throughout the week.

In relation to the observance of the Global Action Week (April 23-29, 2007) in Ethiopia, there will be display of photographs depicting the status of education in Ethiopia, the situation of children and adults that are looking for education. This is planned to launch the week in Addis Ababa on the first day (Monday 23 April 2007) of the Action Week at the square which is well known as Meskel Square and found in the centre of the Capital City. This is aimed to advocate for "Education as a Right" and to initiate all stakeholders to work hard for the fulfillment of the EFA goals. The program is scheduled for today from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM by using a Sonic Screen and it is open for every body . It will be i naugurated by Ato Fuad Ibrahim, the State Minister for General Education. Other activities, like children's rally to the parliament, advocating using the media and panel discussion on selected and relevant themes are also planned for the coming days.
