| Country Updates 2007 - France Country Contacts:
Summary: The French Coalition is planning a number of colourful events. There is a possibility to either invite a politician into a classroom or to go to the local town hall with the children to teach the lesson. For the national event, there are plans to get authorisation to go to the French assembly with children to make them teach the lesson to the present deputies. There will also be production of a short movie of the lesson that will be available online for those who want to participate in the campaign without having the opportunity to actually make the lesson, thus they would be able to watch this lesson online. On the 23rd of April the coalition will launch a petition to ask the national President to give financial support needed to achieve education for all. 6 February 2008 In France thousands of children and theirs teachers Joined up while singing on the 26th of April. Many primary schools, institutes, leisure centres and secondary schools all sang the same song at 10 am to demand Education for All. In Paris, in the l’Ecole Primaire Publique Victor Cousin all the General Secretaries of the main trade unions participated (FSU, SGEN-CFDT and l’UNSA) including Vice-président of the GCE for Europe the General Secretary of l’UNSA-éducation.
