Summary:
German campaigners received huge media support for their activities during Global Action week thereby raising awareness on the importance of education for all. About 150 children together with teachers and adults organized a major “Join Up” event in Leipzig. The gathering was at a strategic area near a big busy market place. The children held up banners saying "we need education - now! " They also  put up some information desks where they explained to members of the public about Global Action Week. The children also told electronic and print media how proud they were to be part of such a big action around the world and that politicians should start to take action for education for all. Media houses responded positively with the  head of the German broadcast company making a statement to all media entities to support the Global Campaign for Education.
