Summary:
In Pakistan, Children’s Library Complex (CLC) in collaboration with UNESCO and the Pakistan Private Schools Welfare Association (APPSWA), organized an awareness walk at the end of Global Action Week for Eductaion.  The Children Formed a human Chain to express support for education. The walk started from the CLC and ended at Governor’s House. CLC organized a seminar  on the occasion that was presided over by education minister Imran Masood. Masood said the public and private sectors should make efforts for education development. According to a press statement, the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) in collaboration with the Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO (PNCU), also celebrated Global Action Week.  NCHD orhanised seminars and walks in Punjab to create awareness about the importatnce of education. NCHD chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf said Pakisatn had to increase its literacy rate from 53 per cent yo 86 percent by 2015
