Summary:
Known as the Tanzania Education Network/Mtandao wa Elimu Tanzania (TEN/MET), the Tanzania Teachers' Union (TTU) is collaborating with the National Coalition as well as other affiliates on the 2007 Global Action Week Campaign, advocating Quality Education for All.
They are planning to conduct a survey to gather evidence on human rights and education in various parts of the country, the focus of which will be on hindrances to education as a human right. The survey results will be used to prepare testimonies that will be used by rights activists and on flyers and posters to lobby political leaders. A press conference will be held to publicize the evidence gathered.  The survey results will also be used to prepare a report and the coalition also aims to print and disseminate flyers and posters to spread the messages throughout all the regions/districts of Tanzania mainland.
A national event will be held during GAW to which the union plans to invite the Minister of Education & Vocational Training as a guest speaker. Meanwhile, in the respective districts involved in the above-mentioned survey, political leaders or local government representatives will act as guest speakers in local activities.
