What happened in 2007?
Great human chains were formed in public spaces and education facilities in Bolivia. Parents, students and officials turned out in big numbers to support the call for the Right to Education. All the events culminated in the writing of a public charter, Education without exclusion: Government and Society in Action. The charter acknowledges the lack of quality education especially for women, poor people, the indigenous population and people living in rural areas, and calls upon the government to prioritize education for everyone.
