What happened in Action Week 2009?
The national highlight event took place at Gambia College where stories and testimonies from Gambia's celebrities and learners were presented against a backdrop of songs on the theme of adult literacy written by trainee teachers.
What happened in Action Week 2008?
The popular Gambian musician Jaliba Kuyateh led the World’s Biggest Lesson, uniting thousands of people, in western Gambia, as they gave the country’s highlight lesson in English and Arabic.

The lesson was followed by a performance by a local school choir and speeches from civil society and government representatives, including the deputy speaker of the National Assembly.

The Chairperson of EFANet, Mrs. Adelaide Sosseh called on the private sector to make it their corporate responsibility to support EFANet in the campaign for Education for All.
What happened in Action Week 2007?

The cross-country chain with Senegal worked a treat in getting the attention of the country’s education leaders.

The Permanent Secretary, Department of State for Education highlighted the importance of education for national development, and pledged that any child identified to be outside of the school system would be supported to go to school.
