Head of Policy and Advocacy

The Global Campaign for Education is seeking to appoint a Head of Policy and Advocacy on an initial 12-month contract, with a renewal assuming continued grant funding.

Location: London, UK or Johannesburg, South Africa

Salary range: Competitive

The Head of Policy and Advocacy will enable GCE and its members to play a lead role in exerting credible and informed influence on national and international education policy, through leading and overseeing research, policy development and evidence-based advocacy aimed at ensuring that governments and the global community fulfil their commitments to deliver the right to education and achieve the SDG Goal 4 Education 2030 agenda.

Policy and Research Manager 

The Global Campaign for Education is seeking to appoint a Policy and Research Manager on an initial 12-month contract, with a renewal assuming continued grant funding.

The Policy and Research Manager will inform the development and manage the implementation of the policy and research agenda for GCE in order for it and its members to exert a more credible and informed influence on national, regional and international education policy.

Call for proposals: Graphic Designer for newsletter templates

GCE is reinstating its quarterly newsletter, GCE Network News. This encompasses GCE’s membership; the members of national coalitions; national, regional and global partner organisations; and public supporters. This newsletter will be delivered via MailChimp, in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese. GCE is seeking to contract a graphic designer to provide two templates (newsletter and newsflash) for use in all languages, using GCE’s existing branding.

Location: Can be based anywhere globally

The successful entity is required to meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the communications requirements of a non-profit, civil society, or campaigning organisation.
  • Strong background and practical knowledge in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Proven experience of graphic design for digital platforms, including MailChimp.
  • Proven experience of working in multiple languages, including Arabic or other right-to-left scripts.
