More than 3000 people will attend the World's Biggest Lesson to which the President is expected to attend.
The highlight World’s Biggest Lesson is taking place in the Fonni area of Western Gambia on the 23rd April. Lead politicians are going back to school and being taught a lesson in English and Arabic by young adult learners. Amongst the teachers for the day will be the famous Gambian musician Jaliba Kuyateh and his band. Whilst this is happening similar events are taking place across Gambia’s other 5 regions with many schools holding the World’s Biggest Lesson.

What happened in 2007?
The cross-country chain with Senegal worked a treat in getting the attention of the country’s education leaders. The Permanent Secretary, Department of State for Education highlighted the importance of education for national development, and pledged that any child identified to be outside of the school system would be supported to go to school.
