What's happening in 2008:

The Norway coalition is now busy lobbying the government throughout the year, and not just Action Week.  Yet big things are still planned for the day of the World’s Biggest Lesson.  The Prime Minister has been invited to attend the World’s Biggest Lesson.  As part of the lesson the coalition leaders will discuss with him how to influence other political leaders of other western leaders to attend the Education for All High Level Group in Oslo in December.

Media Coverage:

24th - The Punch - Norway
Nigeria: 11 million Nigerian children out of school

What happened in 2007?

The JOIN UP action was distributed to all primary schools in the country, which had an amazing impact of schools getting involved, holding hands, around their schools, classrooms and playing fields, and logging their chains on the GCE website. The media printed the Norwegian education coalition's article on education, and the Development Minister, Mr Erik Solheim's response that the government would continue to commit to Education for All, nationally and through the European Commission.
