What's happening in 2008:

Activities are taking place in five  education institutions,where each institution will invite political,religious,academic leaders,PTA's and renown business people to school activities . Each of the schools will participate in various activities like Drama,poems ,songs,and children/adult testomonies on accessing education have been composed,and will be shared to enlighten and advocate for inclusive and quality education for all .
Challenges faced by children and institutions in accessing,and the difficulties to accessing quality and inclusive education petitions will be presented to the leaders in attendance.

On 26th the Back to school activities will be held in Borama at Sheikh Musa Primary school,where the Vice  minister for Education will be the guest of Honour .

The culmination of this activities will be marked in Hargeisa with a March on 27th from the Ministry of Education by students and well wishers/public,teachers,educationists and NGO's/UN, to Freedom Square for the Biggest Lesson,in which the Minister for Education will give a key note speech on the governments position on Quality inclusive education.

What happened in 2007?

Campaign activities varied from recitals of poems and drama in schools, and a student forum in the University of Hargeisa. The students' messages vividly brought out the challenges faced by learners in Somaliland in accessing education as a right and the challenges of poverty, the lack of qualified teachers, the long distances to schools and discrimination of girls. At the grand finale 600 school children marched through the streets of Hargeisa to Freedom Square where they presented their petitions to the Ministry of Education.
