The challenge is for everyone to join up and form the world's longest chain for education, so that world leaders can see how many children and teachers want every child to go to school.

In 2000 world leaders made an important promise that every child would get a free, primary education by 2015.

In 2005 and 2006, millions of people, young and old, took part in the campaign, and because of what you've done some governments have taken essential steps - such as dropping school fees or giving more aid to education.

But there are still 80 million children who miss out. Help them get an education by joining the world's longest chain.

You can make your part of the chain by:

  • Creating and decorating a paper chain representing everyone in your class or school joined up. Get the instructions
  • Linking hands and taking a picture of your chain.
  • Thinking of other creative ways to show joining up, such as making a short film.
  • Joining up with the Global Campaign for Education coalition in your country. Find the GCE contact point in your country.

Once you have made your chain, send it to your national leader.
Contact your local coalition to find out how to do this.
