The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Bank and World Food Programme have jointly produced a Framework for Reopening of Schools.

Global Partnership for Education (GPE). A joint solidarity letter to the African Union on the impact of COVID-19 on girls’ education and child marriage was issued by GPE, Plan International, Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), Rozaria Memorial Trust, and Girls Not Brides, the Global Partnership to end Child Marriage.
GPE has increased COVID-19 emergency fund to US$500 million. An additional US$250 million has been set aside to help developing countries respond to the immediate and long-term disruptions to education caused by the pandemic, bringing the total fund to US$500 million. The funding will help sustain learning for up to 355 million children in 67 countries.
